Meet Some of Our Caregivers
Home Care Assistance of Fort Worth screens each in home caregiver applicant carefully to find the best, most reliable and compassionate caregivers available. As a result, we typically hire only 1 in 25 applicants. These caregivers have passed a criminal background check, have legal right-to-work documentation, and have passed our exclusive exam. In addition, caregivers must have experience working with older adults and excellent references. Once hired, we provide further training in our Balanced Care Method. When you meet our caregivers, you’ll immediately feel comfortable having them in your home.
Cynthia is a very compassionate caregiver with over 15 years of extensive experience and all her clients love her. “She is very attentive, patient and becomes like a member of the family.” The client and his wife are truly grateful for the wonderful and precise care that Mavis gives. Always ready to go above and beyond, Cynthia is a treasure to have on our HCA team. “As a caregiver, I feel good that my clients feel cared for when I make sure they are cleaned, have company, aren’t lonely, and are given the respect they deserve.”
A retired Registered Nurse, Sue is a valuable asset to our team as a caregiver. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant prior to attending school to receive her RN. She has previously worked for private home health companies and truly enjoys the one-on-one interaction that care giving allows her to have with each client that she meets.
She is a very compassionate person and enjoys not only working with the elderly but also gaining the wisdom that they possess. Rachel holds a current CNA license. Once a client has met her, they don’t want to lose her as their caregiver. Prior to her time with us she worked continuously at long term care facility where she learned a great deal about caring for seniors.
Olga is one of our bilingual caregivers. “My client receives a high quality of support and reliability from HCA. The dedication that HCA offers to the elderly is enormous and I am at a loss for words. Especially when a crisis or concern arises that requires immediate attention from either the Manager or the support staff. Both are there to meet the Caregivers needs as well as the client.”
Maxine enjoys working with the older senior. She is able to relate because she grew up around a lot of older family members. She truly loves engaging with her clients and hearing their history. She loves to give clients a lot of attention and appreciates all the time she is able to assist with their care.
Sara came to work in this field because she finds pleasure in helping others. Knowing that she is able to assist an individual in being as independent and happy as possible makes it all the more fulfilling. Now she feels a sense of purpose and a desire to give back by helping others. Her interests include reading, writing, baking, hikes, swimming and anything involving animals.
Marcia genuinely cares about the well-being of each client. She believes that everyone should live their latter years as well as they lived their earlier years, if possible. With both of her parents deceased, she feels she still has a lot of love to give. She therefore chooses to express that compassion by caring for other seniors in our community.
Kelli joined our team in July of 2014 and has been someone we can call on for those last minute care needs. She was referred to our company by another caregiver currently working with our company. If available, she will make every effort to fill in and take on what needs to be done. She has a genuine desire to help people and work with seniors. She enjoys reading, crochet and spending time with family. Her specialties are meatloaf, spaghetti, chili, chicken and noodles.
Essie is a great addition to our Caregiving Team Family. She is calm, experienced, and our clients feel safe with her. She truly enriches the lives of those for whom she cares. She is “always going beyond what is required on her job.” Clients describe her as “special and kind.”
Shirley has a Master of Arts Degree, and since retiring from teaching in 2003, has been a caregiver for several agencies as well as devoting time to Meals on Wheels and other community based services. A reference we received said Shirley was so good with her husband, building his self esteem and managed all areas of his care. “Shirley is good for & with him but she is also a blessing to me!”
Barbara has a passion for and love of helping people. She has worked for a Group Home for Mentally Challenged Seniors since 2008 and has come to us to fill in her extra hours. If you ask anyone about Barbara, she is described as “energetic, reliable and caring.”
